Hi guys,

I got a persisting peculiar problem with the Wii system files.
The system works fine and i've recovered the system files multiple times through bootmii (with a file that was made when i soft modded it again on 4.2u and worked fine until about 4 months ago)

The system boots up fine and I can play all the Wiiware games fine. the problem only occurs when there is a disk in the system (doesn't boot when disk is in system and freezes if a disk is inserted after boot-up)

I've recovered the nand memory multiple times and each time it says it's successfully recovered and the problem still persists.

I've been told to download another nand file but i've also heard that all the nand files are unique and it'll brick it if you use someone else's nand file.

any suggestions?

Have you concidered that the disc drive has gone faulty?

hmmm... i thought that might have been the case, but wouldn't it be more likely that the disc drive would fail while in use than while the console is turned off? Is there a way to check this?
