Hey Kids,
I'm preparing to download some new loaders, and by preparing I mean studying what CIOS's and Forwarders and such do (along with a little of my usual "overthinking")
It occured to me it would be extremely helpful if one of you seasoned guys would post screenshots of an SD card showing the proper file path for a working system with your Loaders etc. Think of the massive amount of redundant questions you could deflect by having PICTURES! Yes, of course I realize there will always be questions, but were I to try to teach this, I would definitely have pics of a good working setup (probably one without a million files and sub-files would be best) I know I for one could either run the proggies from my lappie while working alongside my desktop with photos, for example:
"SD Card/Path/USBLoader GX or SD/Path/Covers...oh that's where my covers go!" Folks with just one PC can simply minimize the photos while they work or print copies. I believe they would make one of the greatest/most valuable "stickies" of all time for you Mods/Seniors and higher level helpers. People are visual by nature, even the most intelligent users can be so intimidated by not only the number of choices, but the path of even one well-built setup. We're trying to understand Bootmii DopMii Priiloader USBloaderGX Configurable loader Wiiflow CIOS IOS Png .dol meta apps and all the other terms you teach us. With photos all we need to do is download the files, put them on our desktop and slide them into our SD menu exactly as your pics show. I'd like to hear from any fellow noobs who'd find this of value (or Mods who'd like to not have to answer the same question 4,000 times) Screenshot/copy/paste link to noob, have a beer.

Don't anyone wants to post anymore setups or pages of what you are wanting or talking about because one it takes time and 2 there is many upon many steps on how to do this. You just need to search here. Search bar is your friend. This is why no one has answered you. Or it might be because they are tired of answering all the many and wonderful questions you seem to be poping left right and centre lol.
Anyways just have a look around here and search for what you need I'm sure you will find it instead of asking for steps everytime you seem to get stuck somewhere.
Trust me there is a lot of posts and a lot of people have already spoken or posted the things you are wanting.
or try this... http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/60921-guide-softmod-any-wii.html
It's the easiest possible softmodding steps out there. Even a 10 year old can follow this steps (I know this because a mate's kid did it for his own wii and he is 10) :P
Give it a try.

Vato, First, I haven't posted a single word here since July 2, today is the 12th so I wouldn't gripe about the "many and wonderful questions I've been popping off left, right and centre" as you so charmingly described. I'm pretty sure one question in 10 days isn't putting anyone out. Well, anyone but you that is. 2) Do you have the ability to reply without being insulting? Just once, just one time I'd love to see you say "the answer to your question is..xxx, have a nice day and good luck" instead of slamming a noob and then copy/pasting a link to the #1 sticky by Mauifrog. You don't think I studied that? Is it possible, just maybe that I may have a question that the Mauifrog sticky didn't answer? Do you know how many questions are attached to that sticky alone? Trust me Vato, I'm not the first guy who loaded up Priiloader or Loader GX and ran into problems they needed advice on. While I think it's great your friend's 10 year old did it, that doesn't mean the rest of us will be able to do all these very complicated proggies without a little help from our friends here at AD, and as long as we are courteous, follow the rules and we're following the guides, if we have a problem, there's not a single thing wrong with asking for help, or why bother having a forum in the first place? It's not here so you can rip on noobs with every bloody reply you post, don't believe me? Ask a Mod if I'm wrong. You obviously know alot about this stuff, so here's an idea, show it off man! Instead of replying to inquiries with "nobody here wants to answer your stupid questions, my buddy's 10 year old is smarter than you, here's the link to the Mauifrog guide", why not flex your muscles and help out? If I were as intelligent as you are, I'd show it off. Sadly, I'm just a stupid noob who's having trouble getting my Priiloader to launch even though I've read Mauifrogs guide at least ten times, but I promise you, the day I learn how to do all this, when another noob asks, I'll say "don't feel bad, we've all been there, tell me where you're stuck and I'll see if I can't help". One post in 10 days isn't bothering anyone but you Vato, see anyone else ripping me? Just help me out or ignore me, but save the flaming for someone else, you've used up a lifetime supply on me, give someone else a turn.

Couldn't agree with you more, Wyattspoppa. Vato is a little troll who thinks he knows it all. It's best just to ignore him. Did you see him spaz out in one of the other posts? He can't be older than 13.
I can post a link to a couple screenshots of my SD when I get home. Feel free to message me if you need some help.

Thank you kindly as always, again, I'm sorry for even responding but no one like's being called stupid. Where I grew up, you end up spitting teeth...Responding to my first post in 10 days he said "my friend's 10 year old can do it"!? Great, so by that assertion anyone who can't do this alone and visits this site for help doesn't have the intelligence of a 10 year old, that's really helpful ya know?
Hit me up at your leisure when you settle in my friend.

Sorry DDP,
I stayed off for nearly 2 weeks to study some guides, read the posts etc so my questions wouldn't be too prosaic (what's an IOS, what's a loader, where's the power button? (-;/heh heh), but no amount of studying I've been able to do made an expert. Today I read a post from 3 Mods arguing about why Priiloader was black-screening in certain environments, and two of them were writing code!, so noobs like me will surely get stuck sometimes, henceforth AD. I don't like to bicker, but I'm no punching bag either, I won't engage him again.
Thx

Thanks man, now can you come over to my house and fix this thing? heh heh heh
Might have figured out my issue on my own anyway, saw Prii only likes HB 1.0.6 and later, I'm still 1.0.3 but wasn't about to click "yes" to the homebrew update till I got Prii sorted out, of course Prii wants the newer HBC update so...catch 22
Cheers DDP

That's ok DDP, I'm in CA, own 2 Wii's and I don't even play! I do this for my little boy 'cause I like to impress him (look what Daddy can do) and for my crippled father-in-law who likes the golf games and he can barely get up any more. I'm the damn St Don Bosco and Helen Keller of Wii! (-;/ Oh, and Wiissel is right, Vato's either a child or illiterate, surprised I never thought about it, this sentence is an English teachers worst nightmare:
"Don't anyone wants to post anymore setups or pages of what you are wanting or talking about because one it takes time and 2 there is many upon many steps on how to do this."
One sentence with 8 grammatical errors, 3 missing commas a numerical mistake and a run-on, in one bloody sentence! I could write a book the size of the Gideon Bible and not make that many. To quote one of my favorite fun movies, Vato "You have been weighed, you have been measured and you have been found wanting, come back when you're worthy".

Let's start a fund and buy DDP a Wii, while I said I don't play it's just because I don't find the time, I didn't say I don't like to. Once in a while I'll sneak in a round of one of my faves when the munchkin's asleep. But put me in front of a pinball machine and I'll have 20 kids watching over my shoulder in 5 min. I make "Tommy" look like he played pinball with his feet! I play till the game's got so many freebies I get bored and give them to one of the kids (-;/ I'm 48 and I still rock heh heh. Peace DDP

Here you go, I took a few, I don't know exactly what you're looking for.
See how the SD should look when first opened on your PC here.
See the apps folder here.
See the USB Loader GX game and disc images folder here.
See the wad folder here.

This was exactly as I said it would be, dramatically helpful, thank you Wiisel. I got to see where I ought to put all the proggies and their subfolders ought to be instead of guessing (and with that many files, I'd have guessed wrong, and often!) About the only thing that looks a bit daunting are the IOS's, there are so many. Will the programs or games know to access them here or do we direct them when we launch things they call for (as I assume)? Thank you for posting this, I think it's invaluable and ought to be looked at by any inexperienced HBC user having trouble organizing their SD cards.

Those are just wads used to install specific IOS. All your IOS are accessed from within the Wii, not the sd card. If you've ever used a program like ModMii it requires you to download several different IOS which are then installed as wads(channels). Glad I could help out, any more questions feel free to ask, and yes, you can PM whenever you need to.

I GET IT!You need your IOS's to create your wads, wads are the channels that do the things we want and launched in the homebrew channel, you put them in the apps folder of your SD card and they become avaialable channels ready to boot?

OK gayboy I won't troll anymore. Happy now.
Now go and read more of other people's blogs so you can copy them, repost them here and be a hero for your friend Wyattspop who by the looks of it, you are the only one who is bothering to answer as no one else seems to want to deal with his dribble and millions of posts that he has made here in afterdawn. You would have thought he would be smart enough to use one post for all his problems. Anywho.
Don't cry anymore I won't troll, just for you.
PS. I am not jealous at your copying and pasting. It's just that I have a life and better things to do then be a hero to some guy who posts a milion times and doesn't seem to know anything from anything when it comes to the wii and even after you explain it to him a million times.
So yeh I have better things to do than sit in front of my computer and answer question, which you obviously do as you don't have much going with your life.
