I use Nero 6
I tell Nero the source is the writer drive, the same for the intended drive for it to be burned.
I go to copy disc, and it creates an image, once the image has been created it asks for the blank disc, so I put a blank disc in, it copies, but when I click on burn the same image again it asks for a blank CD, but when the second disc is been inserted a message appears to say the disc is either blank or invalid, please insert the original disc.
This confuses me as why would the image require to be created again?
By the way the temp image after it has been created goes to C:\My Documents, and the temp NBR file goes to Windows\Temp

Hi,
Sad to hear that you are experiencing the same problem.
Now I would have thought that it was down to a glitch with Nero, but as I am positive that in the past I could have gone on and on by saying that I wanted to burn the same image again by placing in a new blank disc this makes it strange that I am unable like you do do this unless we put in the original source disc.
Hopefully someone will read this and explain to us what the problem is and how to fix it.

you have "delete image after complete" ticked.. if you want to make more than one copy on the fly you need to select 2 or however many from the "number of copies" box.. otherwise as before.. either specifically save an image by not burning at all, or untick the "remove image" box.. simple really.

No probs.. all those options are in the burning dialog windows.. Haven't used nero in years, but I do remember my way around it pretty well from 6 days.. all them little tick boxes in burn and advanced options.. what a pain. One thing that could also be going on is the temp space is full.. but that usually errors instead of just behaving like it is... you can find the image file in *\temp by loading a disk, hitting copy, then when it spits the first disk out while it's waiting for the blank searching for a file made just then of cd size.. hehehe.. I cheats I does.. then when you find it copy/paste it somewhere else and see if that will load as "burn image" after cancelling the waiting burn.. after that checks out you can change the temp path to somewhere else in the program preferences so you can find it.
Have you thought about doing disk to disk copies on the fly with imgburn?.. it's faster and better. My burning app will always save an iso when using the same source and destination drive.. and will always ask me where that file should be and what it should be called.. lovely k3b .. *kisses*
as for rizy and nero 7 with the burning and player problems.. dunno.. not enough info.. bad disks.. drm.. broken files.. typical useless nero bugs.. who can say??
