This may not be the correct forum for this, but I'd thought I'd ask.
I have some CDs with .CDA tracks encoded in DTS 5.1.

First let me start with the good news, Nero9 Showtime, WinDVD7 and MPC play them fine thru my analog outputs.
The codec chain for Nero-Showtime shows Nero-Audio-CD-Navigator, Nero-Elementary-Stream-Parser etc.
MPC shows a similar chain: CDfile, Nero-Elementary-Parser, FFDSHOW, AC3Filter, Direct-Sound.

The problem I'm having is with Windows Media Player 11.
For some strange reason it insists on using mcicda first (completely skipping Nero-Elementary-Parser), FFDSHOW, AC3Filter and Direct-Sound. This results in playing static.

I tried setting the merit for Nero-Elementary-Parser and Nero-Audio-CD to the max, but WMP11 still does it his own way.
Has anyone gotten WMP11 to play DTS-CDs?

One side note, when I was in Nero Burning ROM one day, I accidentally burnt the WAV files straight to an ISO data disc.
Now WMP11 plays the CD fine.
Checking the codec chain, it didn't call mcicda, but instead called File-Async, which did call Nero-Elementary-Parser, FFDSHOW, AC3filter etc.

Any help would be appreciated.
