i have been burning disk for a few months now and all of a sudden it stopped working?

i go to nero open up make data dvd put in my memorex dvd rw i send them to my mom in the hospital while she battles cancer and after she watches them i erase D/L more and re send. Anyways after i select my avi wich i want to make into a divx disk and hit burn nero says all has burned and no problems but after i put it into the dvd player (wich plays divx) it says no disk? any ideas on what im doing wrong? im using nero7 ultra edition
