Up a gumtree - need help. Nero9 burns 50% coasters with BD-R DL

Hi guys
I've just about run out of patience trying to successfully burn 50Gb BD-R DL disks (Verbatim). I'm just simply trying to burn backup data - not even BluRay Moviesa!!
I am giving it one last chance.
I'm hoping I've missed something and I'm using a wrong setting or I'm thick or something - but I simply can't afford the present 50% success rate (or worse) - and I'm left with that nagging feeling that it the successful BD-R DL's may still be corrupted, despite being verified.
Can anyone help please?

My target is to make 50Gb Data copies of documents, applications, and general data held on my computer.
I suppose ideally to use Nero 9 (legal bought copy :-)) under Windows 7 (either 64 or 32 bit). At present I've tried burning data under XP and Windows 7 with the same poor success rate.
Also ideally, to not have to stop AntiVirus programs or other stuff just to burn a BD-R DL.
So..
Not understanding how the log file shows where things may be wrong, I copy below the last log as a discussion starter.
Notes:
I defragment usually once a week, and choose the slowest writing speed (x2) yet it still went wrong. I have ASUS mobo, LG BluRay writer (SATA) 8Gb RAM. At present the Verbatim BD-R DL are my only option. Burning 'Normal' DVD's are not a problem. Can't remember the last problem.
I would welcome help - even opinions (provided they are from genuine long term experiences)
