Editing .ass subtitles in an .mkv

Hello, I have an .mkv video with .ass subtitles, and I want to delete a few of the subtitle lines. I know that I need to extract the subtitles, edit them, and remux them back into the .mkv. But I'm having a lot of trouble. I can extract them fine, and I THINK that the editing is fine, but the hard part is putting them back into the .mkv. Please help!
