Want some advice? Ditch the program. Any software that will ask you for codec this and codec that is iffy, it's a sham. There is no such thing as a "Codec" for subtitles.

Use DVD Flick instead, free and excellent.

Super dvd Creator help

2. 1 > Add source Click Add Files button to add source clips(include all video formats) into source list. You can add more than one clips at one time if you need. You can move up/down or delete aim clip in the list. All the add, delete, move up, move down operations are equal to right-click on the aim clip.

2. 2 > Add subtitle right-click on aim clip in the clips list and choose Add Subtitle File to add Subtitle file. You can choose subtitle language, subtitle font size for your favorite DVD and save your setting in the last.

I offered you advice, you didn't take it; if you want to keep using your software, you might wan to try their forum(if they have one!), no one uses that software around here, when there are better free ones.
The only one that would be worth paying for would be ConvertxoDVD .
Did you have the subtitles in the same directory having the same name as the video file?
