Hey Guys,

I'm new here and want to know if this is possible. I have a MKV which included synced English subtitles. I have searched all over for synced spanish subtitles but cannot find them, even by trying to sync the fps or the first title.

My question is, I have the synced SRT in English and the unsynced spanish srt, they are about 3-4 lines of text difference in terms of total subtitle lines. Since I have one synced and the other unsynced, is there any program that will allow me to place both srts and have it replace the text from the synced one with the spanish text?

I mean, I can do this manually by copying and pasting each line of spanish text onto the correct english times, overwriting the English text but I don't really feel like copying and pasting 864 lines of text manually!

If you still don't get me, I need to replace the english text with the spanish text but preserving the english srt times which are synced.

Thanks!
Tomas.

Run Subtitle Workshop
Load the subs with wrong time.

Click Edit > Timings > Adjust > Adjust to synchronised subtitles.
Load the subs with the good time - the first set of subs take the times from the second set.
This assumes that the subs have the same number of lines of dialog.

The other way is to load the subs with the wrong time then load the movie.
Start the movie and as the first dialog is spoken, pause the movie and note the time.
Highlight all the subs then click on the double arrow logo to sync all the subs to this new time.
In the image, the actor is speaking at 2.95 seconds;the subs are late at 25.11 seconds.
Highlight all the subs and click the arrows and the subs all change time to match the audio.
Save the new subs.

Backup copies of the originals.
