Hey there,
Just new to this site and was looking for some help if possible.
I have downloaded a couple fo MKV Blue-Ray films however they have come with subtitles on it and was looking to see how you can remove these. I am using DIVX player.
I have searched this site and found a couple of threads about this same thing however i am struggling to make sense of it.
I was looking to see if somebody could be so kind to explain to me in simple terms how to remove this.
Look forward to hearing from you
Regards
Daz

If they can be turned on/off, try MKVToolnix with MKVExractGUI.

Hey Attar,
Many thanks for the prompt reply.
So i take it just install MVKtoolnix which is straightforward. What does this piece of software do for the file / what is it for just so i can get my head around it?
Many thanks

It opens the .mkv and lists the streams (video, audio, subtitles) - check the boxes relevant to the streams you want to keep (the video and a particular audio perhaps) then save the output to a new file.
If you are unsure, use a copy of the source to try out.

Hey Attar,
I have downloaded that software before and tried it and didn't work however i'm not sure if i did it right.
I imported the film and that came up in 4 seperate files of which 1 of those files was S_TEX UTF8 SUBTITLES which i unchecked then hit start muxing and the file that appeared never had anything on it. Could you be so kind to clairfy if i amdoing something wrong.
Many thanks
