Ok, so I'm getting ready to make the subtitles for a horribly unknown movie so that I can show my American friends, but I here's where I get stuck-

Is there a way to just play the movie and, like, click or something for every timecode you want a new subtitle? Is there something similar to this at all, or do I need to go through and painstakingly mark each timecode out?
Thank you!

Open the movie in Subtitle Workshop
Seek to first dialog.
File > New Subtitle
Input the Show time and <enter>
Input the Duration and <enter>
Input the Text
Seek to next dialog.
Edit > Insert Subtitle
Repeat Show, Duration and Text.
When complete, File > Save as and save the subtitles (SubRip for .srt)
