Did you try joining the videos in 2 parts only and see if the 2 CD subs would work?
What format is the video?

The video is in .avi format and subs in .srt.No , i haven't tried joining the files.I am assuming that it will be a long process as compare to editing the subs.

No actually is the total opposite as you might think.

You can use Avidemux to join the videos. Join the first and second part in one video, and the third and forth in a second video, and hope the 2 CD subs match. If not, it would probably need to adjust anyway.
Did you find a 1 CD sub file by any chance?

The joining of the videos takes a couple of minutes, no encoding will be done.
Just open the first video, then drag in Avidemux the second video that you want joined, then save the video. When you name it, make sure you add the .avi extension, Avidemux does not do that automatically.

You van also experiment with joining the first 3 videos in one file and the first 2 subs into one, and see if you get better sync.

Before you try to sync the subs, try the alternatives that I suggested. Join the videos to have 2 parts and hope it will work with the 2 CD subs,if not, join all 4 parts into one file, and ee if it works with the 1 CD sub file.

Subtitle Workshop will be useful for synchronizing the subs.
