I don't have Windows 7 (I don't even know if it's compatible) but I have seen this behaviour with XP.
After selecting the directory for VirtualDub and clicking 'Next' it says it has completed the installation, but it freezes.
I can then invoke the Task Manager and end the setup program.

As I mentioned in my case, at that point, I checked to see if the files had been installed (from the XP Start menu) then ended the install program using Task Manager - but I'm not familiar with Windows 7 thus cannot offer opinions except perhaps to post at VideoHelp.com

Thx for your help. I worked out how to do it. I installed it on another computer and brought virtualdub across it works fine.
