Issue #1 A few months ago I backed up my itunes on dvd using the back up feature within itunes. I want to back up again, but when I select the option to back up the items since my previous backup, it still wants to backup everything, taking an estimated 14 dvds. Is it not possible to only do the items that I have added since my previous backup?
Issue #2 My teenager has a lot of music that I do not care for. Right now, all of our music, mine and hers, are within the same itunes. Running windows 7 64 bit, if I add her as a user, can she download itunes under her username, transfer her music from her itouch to itunes, and in the future she and I can keep our itunes library seperate?
Issue #3 Some of our music is not in the regular itunes folder location within the "C" drive. It is in another folder within the same drive. I have tried several times to copy and paste from one folder to the itunes folder, but itunes will not find it for some reason. If I wipe the designated folder out (delete them), can I then hook up my Ipod or itouch and transfer from thr ipod to the itunes folder?
I can't help you much. I strongly suggest you leave that music were it is. If you delete it I suspect you may lose that music. itunes is a 'tar baby' once it goes in you can't get it out. It is designed that way. Most the the changes to itunes over the last 4 years have been "security improvements". You might be sorry if you get a new computer.
Issue #1: I have no clue unfortunately! Anyone can help?
Issue #2: Be careful, don't mess with your iTunes libraries too much. A safe way to manage multiple libraries on the same computer is to use a third party software as iTunes does not allow to do that.
Issue #3: if iTunes does not detect your music folder, make sure the path is correct under the Advanced tab (Edit->Preferences). To solve your issue, select your destination music folder in iTunes and populate your library from your iPod using xPort (Mac) or CopyTrans (PC).
