Hey,

I'm an headbanger from waaaaaaaay back and total iPod noob. I'll be 55 next month and just got a my first Ipod hand me down. I use a great format converter, "Total Audio Converter". It will virtually convert any format to any format and @ the bit rate you want. I plan to use 160kps or as close to it as I can get. What I want to do is organize my music by album so I can just select the album and have it play as it would a cd. I perfer not to have a giant play list where everything is mixed together. I have a bunch of flac files and I converted them to AAC 179% using "total audio converter" but itunes refuses to see them*&^%$#@! What am I doing wrong.

Thanks,

I started with nothing, I still have little left.

I normally import all my tracks from albums, but I guess you can just make a playlist then create a folder and name it to your satisfaction..
"New Folder from the File menu. Double-click a folder to rename it".

Not sure about the app you're using to convert flac->AAC, but what I do(since no flac support in iTunes) is use MediaMonkey to convert Flac(s) to WMALossless, and then import them in iTunes..iTunes will ask to convert the new lossless WMAs to AAC/m4a..Try it and good luck!.

Hello again,

I've been playing with other programs converting flac to acc for my ipod. Had some luck, some files don't seem to convery correctly even when using MonkeyMedia 3.0.3.1140. Now I have some flac files that were ripped as a whole album instead of track by track. Is there a way to sperate this tracks?

Thanks,

PS: Of all the sites on the web, AD is the best IMOP.

I started with nothing, I still have little left.
