I have a 3rd gen nano and tryed to connect it to my cars Pioneer AVIC N4 headunit but im receiving an error ... after googling ive found that many others are having the same problem because the updated firmware was not compatible with my headunit ...

I see in itunes that it is possible to upgrade/downgrade ur firmware to one u have saved on ur pc ... google took me too alot of sites that say i can download the original firmware but itunes says they are not compatible with my 3rd gen nano ...

can any1 help me find a link or a site with the real original 3rd gen nano firmware?

I would check out the Apple site. I think they have what you think you want. You might discover if you down grade you will have other troubles. Itunes is VERY touchy these days it might cause you trouble. Read how ipods were killed when the used did something that should have been OK. The ipods were locked down so they could not be read by the computer so they can never be fixed. I would probably check that out first or at least back up any music you have on your ipod you do not want to lose.

I have fould mp3 CDs are better for me in my car than my ipod. I also got the ipod control and I do have the right firm ware. They hold 150-200 tunes. That is a good size for the road. If my mood changes it can swith disks while driving. I need to pull over to switch out a play list. I haven't used my ipod in my car in over a year.
