anyone with the problem of getting the software i am only posting this because i am on cloud nine right now as i have spent months trying to. so heres what you do:

go to: http://www.sanyo-audio.com/english/index.html
follow instructions and when you need the serial number it is displayed on the back of the box and on a sticker on the player itself. if you cant find theese just copy and paste mine: P5801269
