Virtual Box on Linux very slow

Hi everyone,
I have Linux 10.4 and I got Virtual Box with Windows 7, whenever I use Windows 7 on Virtual box its goes very slow, just to move the mouse I have to wait, is there anyway to fix it or do I have to upgrade my system

PC - Ubuntu Linux
