iPC OSx86 Firewire and HDD problem (Acer Aspire E700)

So I want OS X on my PC. I have an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor @ 2.40Ghz. So when I go to install the OS I run it with -v for verbose. It gives off a few lines of the boot procedure then freezes however the command cpus=1 fixed this. Now however I have a new problem. on the verbose boot I get this funny error "Firewire EDID 0fffffffffffff invalid". It also doesn't recognise my 320Gb Sata HDD which has two partions, nor does it recognise any other storage device I plug in (I can't recall the exact error it give during the verbose boot, but it does give one). Therefore when I get to the installation GUI I am not presented with a device to install OSx86, even though my HDD is present in the machine. (sorry if my grammar is bad, just woke up)

Any help is appreciated,
