Ok... I got my first Mac. It was given to me for doing some computer work for a friend. It just needs an LCD which I already ordered. It came with 512ddr on board and I want to add 1gig.

According to the manual I read on Apples web site I need DDR SO-DIMM and it is good at pc2700.

Is that really all there is to it? Do I just go to a computer store and buy pc2700 DDR SO-DIMM memory for a laptop? It does say in the manual about it being no bigger than 1.25"

Some help here with my first Mac would be great. I am hoping for a good experience so I move add Mac to my Ubuntu repertoire.

Thanks in advance!
