Ok, I have just acquired a third monitor and want to run all three of them. I'm running Windows 7 and the graphics cards are both ATI, ones a 3850 (DX10) and the other is a rubbish integrated X1250 (DX9).

The problem is that now ATI have stopped supporting DX9 cards in their Catalyst packages I can either have the latest driver but only two monitors on the 3850 or the Windows drivers which offer very little graphical capabilities (but have all 3 monitors). On installing the legacy drivers the system just hangs.

So my question is, can I install two different Catalyst display driver versions alongside each other?

I have tried installing the latest Catalyst driver and then removing it from the X1250 through Device Manager but it seems insistent on removing it from the 3850 too. ATI should really sort this out and stop the driver from installing on cards that are no longer supported.

Dave.
