I have a bluetooth wireless keyboard for a mac that i would love to have connect to my pc as well. I have windows vista 64bit. Thanks for any info since I can't seem to get it to work.
Quote:I have a DELL XPS winth Windos 7 Ultimate 64 bit and apple mighty mouse, apple super mouse, Apple Wireless Keyboard Full size and the new mini size, all working perfectly with my bluetooth.
In the case of Keyboard follow this steps for Win7 (very similar in Vista and XP):
You need an additional keyboard connected to your computer, in my case I have the builded laptop keyboard
1. Go to your BT control panel in Windows and Turn on "Allow BT devices find this computer", "Allow BT device to connect to this computer" and "Alert me when a new BT device wants to coneect" (the last to avoid security issues).
2. Be sure your apple wireless keyboard is off.
3. In BT Control Panel, clic on Add device.
4. Turn on your Apple Wireles Keyboard or just in case do this, in the wireless keyboard, press the apple key and turn on the keyboard, then release the apple key (I think this clean the previous config in some apple wireless keyboard, previously configured in mac).
5. Your BT will show you the Apple Wireless Keyboard as found, add this device.
6. NOW THE TRICKS. Your computer will work and say you wait, at this press the ENTER key in the Apple Wireless Keyboard.
7. Now you see the pin box to pair your keyboard to your computer, in the laptop integrated keyboard or the additional keyboard connected to the Windows computer, type a pin code (I use 12345678, but you can use any other), just remember it because we need this for the next step, then next to pair.
8. When your computer is trying to pair, at this time In the Apple Wireless Keyboardtype the pin code previously used in the step 7 (12345678 in my case) and when finish typing press the ENTER key in teh Apple Wireless Keyboard and VOILA, Windows will start installing drivers and you get the keyboard working.
NOTES:
There is some diferences in the key binding with the PC, jus in case use:
