Hello everybody, I have a recent laptop screen dimming problem that is getting quite annoying. I tried searching the web for a similar case as mine, but had no luck. I have a Gateway T-1623 laptop with 2 accounts on it. Both accounts are Windows 7, one is my account and the other my brother's.
Recently, every time I log into my account, the screen brightness is okay for about 20 seconds after it loads everything out, then it dims drastically and I can no longer raise the brightness.. I can lower the dimmed brightness even more though, which is quite ridiculous because I can barely see anything as it is. But as soon as my brother logs in into his, his brightness is totally normal, and stays normal. I really don't know what to do here, not even sure where to start.. any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hello, thanks for your response, but I tried that and it didn't work.. when logged into my own account, the screen brightness is normal for some seconds, then dims down and is not able to go back to normal until I restart the laptop, but then it'll just dim down again either way. Any other suggestions? thank you.
