firstly, appologies if this is the wrong forum for this topic, but i searched them and couldnt find a more specific forum to post it in...
problem is this...
i have an acer aspire 7720 laptop that came with vista, it made the laptop run slow and chunky so i downgraded to XP. i had to manually download drivers on my desktop to support XP and burn them to disc. the first time it went no problem, everything worked great. i had a fatal error last week and went for a fresh install, i used the same drivers as before but this time it's not working..
first i'm getting no sound, and second the graphics driver wont install!!
when i try to install the nvidia driver it gives me an error saying 'NVIDIA setup cannot find any drivers for this device, setup will close'
i have downloaded lots of drivers, including the latest one from the nvidia site, but every one gives me the same error!
the graphics card is the nvidia geforce 9300m g
the biggest problem with it is web browsing, when scrolling the screen it doesnt run as it should, i get a line running down the screen before everthing moves up a bit! takes ages to scroll down the screen!
anyone got any ideas?
i have 'driver scanner' but thats about as helpful as a kick in the nuts! lol
