Hi all,

Every now and then, I have this weird audio problem. One moment everything's fine, next moment I have no sound from any applications I start, but I do have sound from everything that's already running. So, my Winamp is playing music, but volume control from Windows is disabled, a new instance of Winamp reports bad sound drivers, and my sound and audio devices profile in the control panel is lacking any audio devices. The hardware profile says they're all installed, and working correctly. If I reboot the computer, the problem disappears. What's causing this? Can I solve this without rebooting?
