Quad core 1st core at 100%

Have an intel quad core processor.

Whist watching a video I started getting some lag, start task manager and find that my CPU Usage is at 25-30% and it is the first core that is at 100% usage.

Tried to see what could be causing this in the Precesses list, but there was nothing listed that would account for all this usage! In fact the total CPU usage in this tab only shows a max of 5% usage, so what is using the other 20%?

There are no task scheduled for this time, and even if there was shouldnt it still show up in the Processes tab?

Try Performance > Resource Monitor and check to see if the Network is being used.
