I'm not sure if anyone can help me fix that problem but here i go. About a month or two ago i bought a new cpu and a new casing. It was all going fine until i got a blue screen of death, then another about 3-4 days after. I then began to have one every 3 to 4 days. It's like a pattern.

So i checked my hard drives for errors, tested my RAM for almost 7 hours straight with memtest+, tested my CPU for a long time too, all with no errors. I also tested my graphic card with 3dmark 2006 with nothing wrong. It's then that i decided to wipe everything on my hard drives (i have 2) and re-install windows. But all this to no avail.

In conclusion, i'm thinking it's my motherboard that has a problem but i'm not sure...i really don't know what else it could be. But perhaps someone has a solution. So please, anyone help me....i'm really desperate with this situation :(

are you reinstalling the same antivirus software? I know avg 9.0 free can cause BSOD. It was BSOD on my computer every other day.

Last year I had a problem where my onboard audio was going bad and causing BSOD, installing a cheap 10.00 PCI soundcard fix the problem.

Is this windows 7 64 version you are using?

Well at the moment i'm using windows 7 professional 64-bit but i was using 32-bit before and still had bsods. And i changed to avira antivir like you said and i still had one. As for the onboard audio i did not think about that but i doubt it would be the cause lol.

That's what I thought too about the "onboard audio" but replacing the soundcard fix my problem. But on that occasion I had problems where sometimes the computer would bootup and the audio wasn't working and my cpu was always at 100 percent. I replace the audio card to fix those problems but it fix the ramdom BSOD also.
Once you reinstalled windows, that rules out a OS problem. If you rule out a hardware problem, that leaves a driver problem with the video card drivers being a prime suspect.
I have had occasions where a video card that was getting to hot would bsod. Putting a case fan to blow on the video card took care of the problem.
Also moving the RAM from one slot to another can sometimes fix a BSOD, it's work for me in the past.

ok, ill try the ram trick. But i thought of something, i updated my BIOS a while ago and i thought it might be the problem. But i am now wondering how the hell do i downgrade? I tried with asus EZ flash in the bios menu but it says its an older version and i cant do it.
