hey whiskey99,unless youve been messing with the settings they are set to windows default and what you see is how it should be.unless you are prepared for a world of heartache,dont change those settings.

not all running processes are necessary,uniblue have a taskmanager addon that would put a ! on left side in a green circle,clik on it & it would open browser to what that process was or you could always just web surf

what process is gaurd agent =
easeus todo backup

then decide whether to use ccleaner & disable it on windows start-up or use services.msc etc,etc
remember to make a note on desktop of any changes you make

type
services.msc
into run command or use command prompt with elevated privilege

it will provide a list of services & the names while in the left column a description of those services running.
there are few that can be set to manual start if you don't use them often:
bluetooth = self explanetory
print spooler = printer driver
Remote Desktop Help Session Manager = remote desktop
smart card = only vendors use it
skype = skype :p
skype c2c = click to call
Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service = back door for hackers or NSA
Wired AutoConfig
Wireless Zero Configuration = neighbor logs in & uses all your monthly bandwidth allowance
BrSplService = brother printer
