If i have vista already installed on my computer..Could i use the upgrade feature when installing Windows 7 Ultimate . Or must i do a clean install and lose all my stuff i had with vista? Thanks in advance.

Here's a chart with more details.
Ok i finally got around to TRY to use the upgrade from vista to windows 7.. Everything is good to go but then i get this list of programs that might not work with windows 7. It was adobe reader 5,google toolbar and this other program called powertoys for xp.It then explained to me if i wanted to procede,i needed to delete these programs and rerun the update. So i went under the add/delete programs.. I found the adobe reader 5,which i deleted.. To my surprise,i could not find those two other programs to delete. I even did a search programs and files and still nothing.. I am doing this for my buddies father in law and he never even installed these programs.. Could this be a glich in Vista? I'm so confused,i hate vista, even more now. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Your upgrade will work fine without removing those 2 programs. Powertoys is a tweak program that is used to changed Windows registry settings using a graphical interface instead of modifying the registry directly. The google toolbar is added to the top of Internet explorer to give you access to google search and pop up blocker. It's a free application and you can reinstall it after moving to Windows 7 if you want it (http://toolbar.google.com). As for the adobe reader that you already removed, you can install the new version that will work with Windows 7 from adobe's website (http://www.adobe.com)

I know you dont have to delete these prior but it doesnt let me continues from that point. I want to do a upgrade, according to that chart above and windows 7 advisor, i can without doing a clean install. So,i popped in the windows 7 ultimate disc and when it auto starts,i click on install. From there,it analysis the computer. I get this box that pops up that reads, these programs might not work properly and it lists those three. There is no continue box or anything to that extend. I think there is only a close option. I now figure,if i delete these,it will let me continue.. Never a dull moment. Did you ever hear of this before? Thanks in advance.
