Windows 7 Problem ACPI

i have a MSI Motherboard model: pm8m-v 478 socket intel VIA

and i have windows XP

CPU : Pentium 4 1.70 ghz

RAM : 1.5 GB

Graphics : ati radeon 9600 pro 128MB


as far as i noe i have more than passed the windows 7 RC build 7100 requirements.

When i go to install it...it says you do not have ACPI (advanced Configuration Power Interface) and you either have to update bios or enable it from bios.

so i went to bios and enable it.

then i tried to install agian same problem ..

as fas as i know this motherboard supports ACPI

and its not installing

and i dont noe how to update bios. i have downloaded bios update but its to dufficult to update.

if u guys can help me in sum way it wud be more than helpful

I doubt it or you would know how to flash the bios on your mobo .. and also that win7 is still only testing phase.. so will be full of this kind of crap.
a p4 1.7 .. that's not up to it really.. I guess you have an unsupported old mobo there.. one little clue .. wimsbios XD

thanks for your help but

iam the type of person who does give up

i hve flashed my bios and enabled ACPI and installed windows 7 with the rating of 3.2.

as of the minimum requirements are

800mhz CPU 512mb ram

iam with 1.7 ghz CPU 1.5 ram

and another thing

i noe this is a test OS for testing porpuses only... dats the reason i want it and dont want to mess up my master computer which is

Core 2 quad 3.2ghz
4gb ram

and i hve also ran windows 98 beta 2000 beta xp beta vista beta

all os you can think of also leopard and tiger also the new upcoming snow leopard from the free mail in from apple.

to let you noe this is not a fight its just dat i told u in my post earlier dat explain in your why and iam not stupid...iam nooo noob

so its just dat it gets me mad when people say (i dont think you ll noe how to do this) pisses me

yeah.. I hope I don't .. first lesson.. use correct English when you are trying to sound clever .. second lesson.. win7 is beta.. and that is an obsolete motherboard.. like 6 years old.

tech guy.. don't make me laugh.. company?.. when you get out of kindergarten maybe XD
