I have a PC problem I hope the gurus and wizards here can help me with.

My pc had window xp on it, I installed revit autoCAD on it, which I need for school.
The OS was "upgraded" to windows 7 gamer. my revit is still on the PC.
Its located in windows.old / program files.
When I click the exe file to start rivet I get the following error msg.

This application has failed to start because its side-by-cofiguration is incorrect please see the application event log or use the command like sxstrace.exe tool for more details.

I am currently searching the web for a solution. I tried using the tool, but it was greek to me.

I really need to get this program working for school ASAP. and appreciate any help I recive.

For various reasons re-install may not be the best option for me, if its possible to save this install?

Thanks in advance for your time, skills, and assistance.
