Hi All,

It's been ages since i last posted on AD. I am stuck with a issue for a user at work. It seems that he cannot search files from windows explorer in windows 7 from anywhere the libaries or even in general C:\ or even within the folder location of the file i have tested it on my computer and its working i have even looked at his search options and reverted it back to default and even searched something that is within the folder like the first file but nothing comes up it refuses to start searching is there anything i can do to resolve this issue bar re-imaging the machine??

Thanks

I Think a system restore is abit of a drastic mesuare to be honest i think i will try the following and see how i go:

Try this:
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click System and Security
Click Administrative Tools
Double-click Services (You may need to responond to a UAC prompt
Find and double click the Windows Search service:

Is the Startup type set to Automatic (Delayed Start):

Windows Search Service Settings
