If your hard drive is nearly full and you have removed unwanted programs and files etc you have a few options

You could buy an external hard drive and move all your music, video and all other important files and folders to it.
Buy a usb stick and do the same.
Buy and install another internal hard drive and do the same.

Also when you run disc clean up, did you click the more options tab and select system restore clean up to delete all but the most recent restore points, this can free up a lot of space.

To help speed up a bit do virus and spyware scans and run disc error checking and defrag, your comp will slow down however if your hard drive is nearly full.
