Hello, i know the 32bit xp only supports 3.25 gigs of so of ram, but my system only shows 2.7 gigs of my 4 gigs of ram. i have all my service packs installed and everything is up-to-date. does any know if there is a fix for this even if its only up to 3.25 gigs?

Do you have an integrated video adapter?

My first guess is that the video adapter is using system memory, depleting total available memory.

Honestly what is the point? .. when you look at the threading in xp 40% of the os time is wait cycles.. it's an obsolete single tasking OS built for the pentium3 .. modern hardware sits there waiting and waiting for it to catch up..

I see no difference in performance between 1 and 2 gigs of ram.. none.

i have a 512 mb video card, but i dont understand how that would make a difference. i have a friend that has xp 32 bit and has 4 gigs of ram, and his pc shows about 3.25 gigs of ram. mine only shows 2.7 gigs. is there that i can do to get mine up to his?
