I just typed all this and lost it, so im going to keep this short (hate retyping!)
I am having a problem where my wireless is losing connection with a laptop. Here are the details

Laptop A: Running Windows 7, Atheros wireless card
Laptop B: Running XP (not sure of wireless card atm)
Laptop B has no problems with wireless at any time.
Laptop A will ping Gateway 4 or so times, time out 4 or so times, respond 4 or so times, etc etc.

I have tried: Updating drivers, rebooting, running from power brick and via battery
I have two routers I have tried. One is a Linksys WRT54G and one is a TP Link N router
I have the problem with both routers and have the same issue. I am using WPA2 security on both. I am able to connect laptop A to a neighbors unsecured network and I am fine, it works perfectly. I disabled wireless security on one of my routers to test and still had the same problem.
I have moved locations in the house. Laptop B functions fine while laptop A drops packets to the router.
I have scanned for wireless devices. There are many in the area. I have tried channels 1, 6 and 11 on the routers. Everything works perfectly while I am connected via ethernet. This started suddenly about 2 months ago. Both laptops worked 100% before that. The problem "randomly" stopped happening for a week or two a couple weeks ago and functioned flawlessly again and then all the sudden the issue kicked back in full force again.
My signal strength is very good throughout the home. Moving the laptop to a different location does not help.
I have yet to try a USB wireless stick on laptop A when my friend drops it off tomorrow to see if it makes a difference.
Does anyone have any additional thoughts? I am stumped!
