wireless network question

I have an iphone 3g which I have added a wireless network to. I have the SSID and the WEP key for the network. I am trying to add this same network to my laptop but am not able to. I using windows xp, I went to wireless network connections and clicked add. Then typed in the SSID, data encryption "WEP", typed in the key, and under network authentication I've tried all the options with no luck. Are there any other settings I might be missing or do you have any ideas?
