Hi everyone, this is my first time posting and I been surfing through the internet for days and weeks but found no solution to my problem. I'm currently using window 7 and First is that my IE 8.0 is not working meaning it just cannot find any webpages but my firefox is able to work with no problem. I have tried to reset my router, went to IE/tools/internet option/connection/lan setting and checked off everything there. I'm also 100% current that i'm virus/malware free because i download alot of problems to scan my computer and came out clean.

Currently i'm using studio one 19 from dell

Also I decided to post a hijackthis scan and see if anyone can get anything out of this. And thanks for the help in advance, i had been trying to solve this problem for a long time with luck so any help would be appreciated. =]

The cause of your problem is a missing .dll file?..
HJT Log Line:
O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'c:\windows\system32\nwprovau.dll' missing

This entry should not be fixed using HJT! Your best bet to repair it is to try the LSPFix from Cexx.org.
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Or download and install the missing ?nwprovau.dll? file from here:
http://dll.downloadatoz.com/nwprovau.dll-file-download.html

Or, if you have your Win 7 install disk you can use SFC scannow/ to make repairs.
See:
http://pcsupport.about.com/b/2009/05/25/...he-easy-way.htm

Or, if this hasn't been happening very long you might try stepping back to an earlier time using System Restore.. You never can tell, that might just work....

That should be enough options to keep you busy for a little while. Sorry I don?t have the time to hold your hand. See what you can do and ask some questions if you get lost. I?ll answer when I can??..

Dam daylight saving, I just lost an hour sleep tonight..... LOL

No, I mean to download IE 8 from MS, un-install your copy and re-install a new copy..... Hopefully that will install the missing .dll files.

Well i love how you are so patient =] but that won't work because there is no download for IE 7 or 8 for window 7. this is really annoying because i can't use itune store saying i'am not connect to internet while im. also i cant install windows update and i get error saying Windows Update error 8024402C and according to the help tab it said something interesting.
Quote:
This error might be caused by a program running on your computer that's preventing Windows Update Services (SVCHOST) from accessing the Internet. Programs that might do this include firewalls, antispyware software, web accelerators, Internet security or antivirus programs. and proxy servers.

If you have any of these programs running, you might need to turn them off while downloading and installing updates. We recommend that you turn them back on after updating your computer. For more information, see Windows Update error 80072efd.

i pretty much uninstalled every anti-virus and stuff like that already, all i have is the basic firewalls.

hahahahahahahaha.. so this is the "greatest thing ever made" operating system wise eh?

more shite from a failure business..

try installing firefox, then setting the browser identifier string to IE (whatever crap you want.. google it.. lots of answers how to do that) .. that'll do the trick and get you back online

you mean get the Firefox add-on user agent switch? well if that is what you meant, it didn't work cause Firefox already works but everything connected to IE doesn't, important stuff like windows update, windows live games, ITUNE!! and sometimes when i try to install something and it needs to download stuff from internet through it's program, that doesn't work too. Oh and BTW did you mean to disable IE 8 first from my computer then do the Firefox thing?

Well, you never get too old to learn. I?ve been working with Win 7 since it was Beta but never had a problem with IE 8. I use it very seldom, I use Firefox, but have never had a problem therefore, have never looked for a download. Lol

I don?t know your entire situation but if I had the same problem, I would probably backup anything I couldn?t stand to loose and then re-install my win 7..

By the way, I do have a program that automatically backs up my files each Friday so If I need it I only loose a few days worth?.. Acronis True Image Home.

All right, kneine. Glad you got it straightened out. The Linux and Mac users usually tic me off when they criticize M$. No, they don't get Adware, Spyware and Hackers because those guys target the biggest market. That's where the money is.... If Linux or Mac ever get a market share equal to microsoft then they will have the same problems....hahahaha

I love my Windows 7 Ultimate running on a hand built 3.8GHz Quad with 8GB ram and almost 2TB Drive storage...... I don't have any problems.

Have a happy!
