ok so brother asked me to fix his mozilla cuz it keep crashing,
and hes even bigger pc newbie then me.
so i wanted to save his bookmarks, and i cant get windows to show hidden files.
he was using avg,so i scan it with it,nothing found,so as spybot- search&destroy.
i deleted his avg and installed nod32 buisness edition, found 1 trojan which was deleted,
but i still cant make windows show hidden files.
it keep switching back alone to not show.
i was looking little bit in registry editor but havent touch anything so i dont mess up his pc even more.
any idea which virus/spyware is doing this and how i can get rid of it?help T_T
don't worry about the hidden files (you should but it's not a big deal at this time). Just use the free software mozbackup, the software will backup firefox including the extensions/themes/and bookmarks. I use it every time I have to reinstall firefox and has always worked perfectly.
What version of windows is this? xp/vista/seven?
If all the scans you have run are coming up negative, than it's probably clean.
My advice is to try a different antispyware or antivirus software. More than likely that is what is causing firefox to crash.
its windows xp.
i try scan it again in safe mode with nod,and didnt found anything else.but still cant make files to show.
i reinstalled mozilla, but it worked for a day then it start crashing again.
what kind of antispyware i should try?i didnt scan it with any other besides spybot-search&destroy.
