I normally try and remove any spyware I may get using SuperAntiSpyware along with MalwareBytes-Anti Malware.

Then format the drive and re-install windows. Simple enough?
Jeez. If you can't follow an easy to read list like that, no wonder you got slapped by this simple virus...Give it up and go pay someone $50-75 for 15 minutes work.

That tut is actually very short compared to most I see. And I see they updated that personal internet security one for the new year. I helped a couple remove it off their comps when it was personal internet security 2010.

Yeah sorry about my little outburst but really, if the easiest way to do something takes 5 steps and its spelled out for you, don't b*tch because theres not a better way. If there was a single answer that fixed everything in one step, i think it would have been published and the program author would be rich by now.
People like that give me enough customers to have experience if i ever want to do tech work full time

I do some virus removal for free for a few friends of mine. Heck, I even helped one remove one she had gotten from her computer over the phone. It took a lil time, but she was glad to be able to remove it from her desktop and not have to spend money to get it fixed.

Yeah, lotsa friends and co-workers come to me but I'm not free. It'll cost at least 12-24 cold beers, depending on how bad the virus is or if I have to find their Windows key then reformat...

I would charge them, but I only know a bit on how to remove....basically I learned by searching for the viruses and reading the tut's....even the long ones that take me an hour or so to read. I try and teach them what to avoid....but some are just doomed to never having a virus free / spyware free computer!!
