I am getting a tremendous amount of activity loading onto my dropbox account that, up until a couple of days ago, I was not getting and my connected group of computers are acting funny.

That sounds like a dropbox problem and not malware on your machine.
You may need to contact dropbox.
Post a Hijackthis Log and I'll see if you have any malware or symptoms and let you know.

I also get this message when I run hijackthis.
"For some reason your system denied write access to the hosts file. If any Hijacked domains are in this file, hi jack this may not be able to fix this.
If that happens, you need to edit the file yourself. To do this, Quick Start, Run and type : C:\\ Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and press Enter. Find the line(s) hijackthis report and delete them. Save the file as hosts (with quotes ), and reboot."

The error about the HOSTS file is not true. it's because HJT is only 32bit and your machine is 64bit. just disregard.
this line is a bad guy adware and could be a Trojan.

WEll, it looks like you've picked up a Trojan -> C:\ProgramData\Partner
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
? At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
? If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
? Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
? When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
? Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <-- Don't forget this.
? When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
? Please post the MBAM Login your next reply.
Re-scan with AdwCleaner:
? Double-click on adwcleaner.exe to launch the application.
? Now click on the Delete tab >> reboot your machine if prompted.
? Please post the contents of the log-file created in your next post.
Note: The log can also be located at C: >> AdwCleaner[XX].txt >> XX <-- denotes the number of times the application has been ran, so in this case should be something like S1.
Junkware Removal Tool
1. Please download jrt.exe ... and save it to your desktop. Alternate download here.
2. Please temporarily disable your security/protection software as found here, to avoid potential conflicts.
3. If running Vista or Win7... right-click jrt.exe and select "Run as Administrator",
otherwise just double click it.
The tool will open and start scanning your system. Please be patient, it can take a while depending on your system.
On completion, a log file JRT.txt is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
4. Please copy and paste the contents of JRT.txt and post in your next reply.
This should clear you but, please post a copy of the Logs from:
MalwareBytes, AdwCleaner and JRT
and we can make sure.
