HELP! I am new and was refered to the site by a good friend. I have a serious problem. I was surfing and ran into a site that bypassed my pop-up-blocker and displayed one of those annoying-"Your computer is unprotected! Scan your computer now! You have been infected by:" then list a whole list of trojan horses and viruses I supposedly have. I closed this window. When I tried to continue surfing I was firected to a porn site. I tried to navigate away and was then directed to a newsoft software site and the annoying pop-up cmae back. I closed iexplorer and when I tried to reopen I then had a message pop-up on my computer telling me to update my virus software. Now I cannot connect to the internet and go to any site but the porn site and newsoft antivirus site. I turned of the net connection and tried to run anti-virus scan and utilities on my laptop but every file I try to open, the window opens momentarily then closes and a file infected message pops up and then the annoying "Your computer is unprotected! Scan your computer now! You have been infected by:" I have powered up in safe mode and the screen is blank so I cannot restore my system. HELP! What can I loaad on my USB and run when I power up to delete this virus/trojan horse? I am scared to run my computer now. Definitely have my net connection turned off!
