Then they are retards.. You could easily install a small linux that supports ntfs drives then run it in ram from it's own 200mb partition that is hidden to everybody who doesn't know to bring up the os boot options screen... run live with puppy and a usb stick to save things XD

Why don't you just get your own junk pile pc.. anything over a p2-300 will run linux very happily.

Yeah, they are. But after crimbo thats going to change. I'm getting yhe good pc and my perents are getting themselves a net book. Going to install Fedora perhaps even Gentoo if I'm feeling brave. Seriously my perents probably didn't know what a harddrive was up until 2 year ago. I still fight with my dad telling him that browsers are not installed on BT's server but nooooooooooo, he knows better apparrently. [mimics]You might know alot (yeah right) about computers, but you don't know everything.[/mimics]

on windows, I use "avg 8 free" it does the job. But when surfing the internet I use "returnil" it will prevent any virus/malware that bypasses your antivirus from causing permanent damage.

my security setup
1. zone alarm pro firewall
2. avg free antivirus
3. firefox browser
4. returnil virtual system (free version)

Returnil is the most important item in my setup, I can mix and match the rest of the software. Nothing has ever defeated "returnil" in my system.
