I'm assuming that you're talking about a DVD collection that is on a computer or some other storage device. If you're talking about a physical DVD collection and you're looking for more of an excel spreadsheet type of program, then xbmc isn't the answer for you.

I have been using dvdprofiler fore a long time it works well for me.
they have a free version and a pay version.
