Vista Ultimate avgfree 2011 blue screen

For some reason, when ever avg runs it's scheduled scan, I get a blue screen a couple of minutes later and the machine restarts. I can run a manual scan with avg no problem. This just started 2 day ago updating with the latest windows updates. I did a google search and found out where to find the blue screen log. After I find it, I'm completely lost with reading them.

Same problem even after a complete system wipe and os reinstall

I re-downloaded all my programs and reinstalled them from scratch.

I disabled scheduled scan and re-downloaded the latest update. Did manual scans for the past two days and then tried re-enabling scheduled scan today and so far it is working now, no blue screens and no crashing. Maybe avg accendently created a bug in one their updates. I haven't received any new updates from ms so far.

Hi I just Downloaded AVG AntiVirus Free Edition 2011. Can you please tell me if I downloaded the right anti virus for my PC. I have some hesitation on my mind. Thank you.

avg free is a good anti virus, just make sure to keep it up to date with the updates and you should be good to go.
