I have a dell m1730 with x9000 2.8 cpu (2 cores) with sli 8800gtx and 4 gigs of ram. I have just installed Windows 7 RTM (I got from msdn so its legal) and I also installed Team fortress 2. On my earlier os, vista 32 bit, i had the game at high settings and it would run perfectly. However, since this install, I only get around 30 fps, which some of you can stand, but I cant. I have installed the latest drivers from nvidia made for win 7 64 bit. My ping is usually around 80 - 100 ping and im pretty sure its not that. Any Ideas?
That's exactly your problem....your getting 80 to 100 ping?? that's horrible...I average around 34 to 40...improve your connection speed=improve your FPS....
Plus your running Win7, which is new and probably wasn't designed to handle TF2 like XP or Vista...
Got it working! There were two problems: The lag, went to my friends house and had better ping so there was a few speed ups, and my laptop didnt recognize my power brick. It would charge but it wouldnt play at normal speed. For some reason it recognizes it now so it runs perfect. It just fixed itself, no complaints here.

Wow, I want you're internet, I get 300 ping on some TF2 servers if I'm lucky, like 1 or 2 at 80 ping, and I thought was was awesome lol. But I get around 100fps plus on my system?
