How can I get Deus Ex to run from hard drive?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I am having trouble getting Deus Ex - The Conspiracy to run from my PS2's hard drive. All of my other games run from the hard drive, using HDAdvance, on my (fat) PS2, but Deus Ex keeps on returning to the main menu when it should load a new area. Can anyone suggest a fix for this, please? Deus Ex is my favourite PS2 game, and I really want to be able to run it from the hard drive, if possible.
