Hey guys. I read a guide on FFXII savegame hacking oin gamefaqs recently, and decided that it was hell awkard to hexedit the save everytime I wanted to edit something, so I made a savegame editor for Final Fantasy 12. You can download a copy from
Here
If you can't get this to run, then you might need TAB32CTL, an ocx file for windows. You can either google it, or I uploaded one with instructions on how to register it here
Also, do NOT change an items quantity to 0, or adding it again will add a duplicate of the same item. (Making Potion qty 0, then making it 5 will add 2 Potion items with 5 qty each). Doing this will crash your save because I didn't add List Size checking.
FEATURES
The editor can now change all these data:
Max Gil
Max Clan Points
Add any quantity of any Item
Add any quantity of any piece of Loot
Add any quantity of any Weapon
Add any quantity of any Armour
Add any quantity of any Accessory
Add any quantity of any Ammunition
Able to unlock any Monster you want, Includes:
*Normal Monsters
*Marks
*Elite Marks
*Espers
*Bosses
*Rare Monsters
*Change quantity of monsters defeated
*Completely Filled or Completely Empty any character's License Board.

I forgot to mention but...
You can use your cheat device or ULaunchElf to get the saves off of the memory card. If you are using a cheat device, then you need to open that file with PS2 Save Builder, get here,
http://www.ps2savetools.com/download.php...downloaddetails
Once done, you'll see 3 or 4 files inside, right click on the one that says something like this
"BASLUS-20963FF1201" and click extract. You can open that with Ivalice SE. Once you've finished, add it back to PS2 Save Builder by dragging and dropping it. Say yes to replace, and resave the file back to your cheat device format. If you use ULaunchElf, its 10x easier.

Thanks a million for the editor! I don't know why no one else has used it, but it saved my butt today :P. After spending about 3 hours ribbon hunting and attempting to kill Zodiark with my level 67 crew and failing, the savegame editor made my ribbon problems disappear. Not that the ribbons alone made Zodiark easy, stupid paling blocking physical damage. *Shakes fist*.
Anyways, thanks much for the program -- rest assured there are people out there getting good use of it!

Awesome man, glad you made use of it. Starting a new game with the license board fully unlocked makes it feel like playing a normal FF game since you can just buy whatever and equip it straight away. Of course starting out with Ultima Weapon to teach the T.Rex a lesson is also cool lol.

Sorry, the editor is made with visual basic, and as such it requires vb components, of which TAB32CTL is one.
Besides, its extremely easy to register it, over 700 people have downloaded it and you two are the only ones who can't do it. That says something.
Try again and follow the instructions, I don't know how much more simple I can make it.

well I got it to work on my windows XP but i couldn't use it to open the save file. is this due to the fact that its not from a memory card but from a ps3 save file? is there something else i can do to open it?

You can't open ps3 saves with it, and I'm not making it do that either because I don't even want to mess with decoding the savedata in the ps3 format. Why? ITS FREAKING HARD. So just get a ps2.

Is it possible to put a "one time only" chest back on the map? Does your program handle that or will I have to pa rouse the info and hex edit it if I want the chest back. I know I can just edit the number of anything. Just wondering. :)

It could be, but I don't know and didn't find any offsets for any treasure chests, and since there are hundreds of chests, it would be a major pain for something so trivial and, frankly, dumb.
