Hy,

I recently downloaded Transfomers Revenge of the fallen NTSC DVD and burnt it onto a dvd.
it ran fine without any trouble.

so after this i downloaded Street Fighter EX3 NTSC CD and burnt it onto a CD but when i ran it, to my surprise my ps2 gave me a disc read error. when i booted ps2 with SF EX3 it picked it up within no time, meaning ps2 read the game without any prob, but did not run it and gave me a disc read error.

so i downloaded pcsx2 and when i ran the game with it, again to my surprise, only this time the game ran and i played training with few charcters.

so after that i downloaded Tekken 5 NTSC DVD burnt it and ran without any problems too.

Now i can't understand why my ps2 is not running SF EX3 on CD but running the other two games on DVD, i should also tell that i have a MODDED PS2 and i can play any game i buy from the market whether its a CD or DVD but with burnt games i am having problems.

i downloaded many PAL and NTSC versions of SF EX3 and wasted my CD's getting the same disc read error.

Now i am thinking of running the game from USBExtreme way but i am not sure whether it will run in this way or not.

Anyone who has any idea about this, please help me out 'cause i like this game very much and i wanna know whats wrong with my ps2 running market CD games but not running self burnt CD games.

Oh and one more thing, i also ran it with Action Replay V2, which by the way is a 100% genuine and original CD, but ps2 won't run it in this way either.

Any help on this matter will be appreciated.

Regards.

well for starters you shouldn't be posting you downloaded a game.I don't have a major problem with it but the moderators will.chances are if the game doesn't work it might be the burning program that causing it,the disk that are causing it or the game files might be the problem if you downloaded it.as for streetfighter EX3 personally prefer streetfighter alpha 3.

custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original, yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.

thanks for your response, xboxdvl2 and thanks for the heads up on the "downloaded games" part too.

As i said earlier, i tested the games with pcsx2 and they showed no problem there, i even said about the games on DVD's which run without a prob too. but i cant figure about the CD issue i am having. I am using Astroburn Lite by the way, after burning i have even tested them with pcsx2 again for making sure that the problem isn't about the poor burning and they ran without any issues too. And i used a standard CD-R as the medium, tested it on CD-RW which, by the way, did not even boot, maybe my chip does not support it(i am not worried about CD-RW anyways).

So what could be the actual problem. would it run if i burn it onto a DVD using any converter?

Regards.
