Acekard 2i and dsi XL

I have a DSI XL that I have just bought with firmware 1.4E on it. I want to use an acekard2i with it.

I see that in the past some sort of Danny Phantom hack has been neccesary but all the guides are quite old.

Do I still need to do this to get the Acekard 2i to work on the dsi xl or does the new firmware official/unnoficial for the AceKArd2i take care of this.

Any help appreciated

your DSi XL firmeware is V1.4, so you still need to update the acekard 2i by a NDSL.
If you or your friend has old NDSL, that will be great, or you'd better buy SuperCard DSTwo,which can use on V1.4E directly and has added features such as Real Time Save, Real Time Guide, GBA Emulation.
DIVX Playerback/ SNES emulation will be added to DSTwo in the future.
