I'm trying to play the game Bookworm on my Nintendo DS lite (so not the downloadable version).

I have an original R4 and have tried both 1.18 firmware (official) and YSmenu 12.05.09 firmware. Neither work.

With the 1.18, it just goes to a black screen.

With the YS, it gives me an error message as I try to load it up "Load rom errcode=-4 with YSM09.12.05".

Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advanced

Yeah, buy a new (different) flashcart. Many newer games won't work on an original R4 and never will.

Actually from what I just read the game Bookworm does not work on any flashkard at this time. And I tried it on my EZ-flash acekard2i and dstti. And no go.

Same here with the latest AKIO 1.5.1 and i get a msg saying that it can't find the game save.

Got it working on Acekard 2i with Akaio 1.5.1

After replacing the ARM7.bin,

then keeping A pressed while loading.

it disables DMA mode, which i think is to do with the game save file type...or something

but hey... its works

just a heads up... its a good idea to keep a clean copy of the rom so that when acekard update their loaders for it, you wont have to use a patched one. a patched rom may not work when the acekard is trying to apply its fix to it.
